CloudPanel started as an internal tool at mgt-commerce.com in 2011. We were running a large managed Magento hosting service on AWS and couldn’t find a control panel that was fast, lightweight, and powerful enough for our needs. So we built our own.

What’s the difference between system support and application support?
System support (what we fully manage):
Operating system, web stack (NGINX, PHP, MySQL, Redis, etc.), security patches, hourly backups, 24/7 monitoring, server replacement, free SSL certificates, DDoS protection, and complete site migration.
Application support (what stays with you):
Your own code, themes, plugins, modules, and application-level updates (e.g. WordPress core, Laravel framework, custom plugins).
We handle the entire server infrastructure so you can focus on your application and business.
What about WordPress / Laravel updates?
Application updates remain your responsibility.
You (or your developer) decide when and how to update WordPress, Laravel, plugins, or themes. This gives you full control and avoids any risk of our team breaking something specific to your application.
We ensure the underlying server environment (PHP version, database, etc.) is always up-to-date and compatible so your updates run smoothly.
How does SSL renewal work?
We handle everything automatically via Let’s Encrypt.
SSL certificates are renewed automatically 30 days before expiry. Our 24/7 monitoring system immediately detects any failed renewal and our team fixes it proactively, usually before you even notice.

How does my AWS bill work?
AWS bills you directly for the infrastructure (server, storage, data transfer, etc.).
Typical costs range from $10 to $60 per month, depending on your server size and traffic. We charge only for the managed service, nothing is added on top of your AWS bill.
You always see and control every expense in your own AWS account.
Can I use my own Reserved Instances or Savings Plans?
Yes.
Since everything runs in your own AWS account, you can apply your existing Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, or Spot Instances to reduce costs. You keep 100% of the savings.
We fully support all AWS cost optimization tools.
Do I keep ownership of my data?
Yes — 100%.
You retain full ownership of your AWS account, all servers, databases, files, and data at all times. We never take ownership or control of your account.
You can access everything via SSH, CloudPanel, or the AWS console whenever you want.
03 · Migration & Operations
Can I migrate from Hetzner, Cloudways, Kinsta, or a DIY VPS?
Yes. We offer free professional migration from any host, including Hetzner, Cloudways, Kinsta, SiteGround, or self-managed VPS.
Our engineers handle the entire process: copying files, databases, DNS, SSL certificates, and email (if needed). Most migrations are completed in 24–72 hours with zero downtime. Final cutover usually takes only 5–15 minutes.
What does 24/7 support actually include?
We provide 24/7 expert support via tickets (our fastest and most efficient channel).
Average first response on system/server issues: under 15 minutes. Phone or live chat is not offered, tickets ensure your request reaches the right engineer immediately and creates a clear paper trail.
We do not offer phone support, as it slows down resolution for technical issues.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel any time with no penalty. Your AWS account and data stay yours.
GDPR and data residency — where is my data stored?
You choose the AWS region yourself (e.g. eu-central-1 in Frankfurt for EU customers).
We are fully GDPR compliant. A signed Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request. Our infrastructure is PCI DSS Level 1, GDPR, and ISO 27001 compliant.
What if I outgrow the Pro plan (€99)?
No problem. We offer custom high-performance plans for larger setups (multiple servers, auto-scaling, dedicated resources, etc.).
